Star Citizen Ps4 Controller Setup

I understand gamepads and xbox controllers are better for this but i can t get it to work lol.

I tried plugging in my dualshock 4 ps4 controller and launching the game and it doesn t seem to work and when i downloaded ds4 and try to start the game it wouldn t let me use the mouse but the controller still didn t work. But the ps4 controller is a gamepad. As for getting the controller to work the game should detect it as a game pad and you should be able to configure it through the menu. The fps and flight controls may feel familiar to gamers who use controllers but the sheer number of controls may make this unweildy for anything other than walking around or basic flight.

That said i wouldn t use one. There are three main joystick setups. There s software out there to make your ps4 controller appear like an xbox controller which should work with sc. Any modern usb game controller should work with star citizen.

And it has the same button layout as the xbox controller. It also hosts the online store for game items and merch as well as all the community tools used by our fans.
